WHAT IS A FOOT HEALTH PRACTITIONER?

Training and Accreditation

A fully qualified Foot Health Practitioner will typically undertake training followed by rigorous clinic based assessments and lectures. It is a separate qualification.

Further training to specialise and gain a deeper understanding in specific Foot Health areas and treatments can also be undertaken.

The type of services you would expect a Foot Health Practitioner to undertake are nail cutting, including ingrowing toenails where surgery is not required, the paring and enucleation of corns and callus, dealing with verrucae and fungal nails.

A fully qualified Foot Health Practitioner should also be able to offer standard Diabetic care and advice.
You can also be assured that your feet are looked after in the best way possible, equipment used is appropriate to your needs and that reusable items are sterilised between treatments.

As a Professionally trained Foot Health Practitioner my Professional Qualification is kept up to date through the Alliance of Foot Health Practitioners, which is monitored by the Professional Standards Authority.

This gives you the assurance that you are given the best care I can provide you with.
If you visit The Accredited Register Of Foot Health Practitioners. I can be found on this register under my surname Smith-Rawlings.
