Choosing the right person to do your Feet

9 Top tips to help you make the right choice.

It really is important to choose the right person to do your feet. You're on them every day and you want to be able to enjoy your life to the fullest without worrying about troublesome feet.

It can be confusing but if you ask some simple questions then you're sure to find the right practitioner for you.

  1. Consider their experience. How long have they been doing this?

  2. What qualifications do they hold? A good Foot Health Practitioner will be a member of the Alliance of Foot Health Practitioners which is also a part of the Professional Standards Authority. This means they have been trained at a suitable college and have kept their professional qualifications current.

  3. Do you know what their reputation is? A good practitioner will share testimonials from happy customers.

  4. If you have a specific problems find out if they are able to help you with this and if they have any specialities to help. Again check out testimonials and reviews from other people who have had this treatment with them as well.

  5. It's really important to find someone who is empathetic and listens to your concerns. A good practitioner will ask you what you want doing first. A painful corn may be more important to you right now over having your nails trimmed.

  6. Consider the location of the practice. Is it local, is there parking? If you can't get out then do they offer home visits.

  7. What is the availability and cost of the practitioner? How do they accept payment? Cheap doesn't mean the best and you should expect to pay more for a more experienced practitioner who will have seen a wider range of issues than a less experienced person.

  8. Ask for recommendations from family and friends. They can let you know what to expect.

  9. Do some research online before making a decision. A good practice will have a website and a business page. You may find reviews on social media pages as well.
